Mohamed Abdel-Mottaleb, Ph. D., Chairman and Founder (Egypt)
Mohamed Abdel-Mottaleb, Ph.D. is one of the leading figures facilitating the introduction of nanotech to the Middle East. He is Assistant Professor of Nano Materials and founder and Director of the Nano Materials Masters Program (the first such program in the Middle East).
Prior to joining Nile University, he is the Chairman and Founder of SabryCorp Ltd. (Cairo, Egypt), the first company in the Middle East and Africa to specialize in nanotechnology. Prior to founding SabryCorp, Dr. Abdel-Mottaleb worked in research labs both Belgium (K. U. Leuven) and in Germany (U. Ulm, TU Chemnitz) where he specialized in using Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Atomic Force Microscopy applications in surface modifications and device fabrication. Both represent powerful techniques for viewing and manipulating surfaces at the atomic-level. In addition to his work on STM, Dr. Abdel-Mottaleb also worked on constructing molecular nano-wires as well as investigated the blinking phenomenon of quantum dots.
Dr. Abdel-Mottaleb's research has been at the forefront of nanotechnology developments. He has 24 peer-reviewed publications (including papers in Accounts of Chemical Research and Nano Letters) and has recently co-authored a chapter for NATO on the commercial applications of nanotechnology. Further, he has organized and chaired the first nanotech conference in the Middle East (NanoTech Insight, in 2005, 2007), and is currently organizing a host of other industry-specific nanotech events and workshops in the region. In addition, Dr. Abdel-Mottaleb has a strong background in nano materials, as well as alternative energy and sensor technologies.

Allana M. Haist, Vice President and Co-Founder (Canada)
Allana Haist received her M.A. in Applied Ethics from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium and her B.A. from Carleton University in Canada. She is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany. Mrs. Haist brings strong international experience to the team, with expatriate positions for over eight years in Europe and the Middle East. Mrs. Haist's research interests are on the ethical and political considerations of disruptive technologies and their impact on development, she is responsible for investigating regulatory aspects of global nanoscience & technology, Intellectual Property Rights, Green nanotechnology, and nanotech for sustainable development. She is also heading SabryCorp's community outreach and public awareness task force targeting the Middle East.

Gamal K. Mikhail, Ph.D, Managing Partner
Dr. Mikhail began his professional career by received his Ph.D in Chemistry from IQS Spain and Max-Planck-Institut fuer Strahlenchemie in 1984 and promptly leapt into the field of research and development.
In addition to his thirteen year ambition in R&D, including a post doctoral fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, USA, and over 5 years in industry R&D with Ciba Geigy and Bayer , Dr. Mikhail also maintains a solid background and experience in business which combines the strategic approach with a “hands on” business management. He began his journey in business with involvement in project management, controlling and global projects, then quickly advanced as Middle East Regional Division Head for Bayer Consumer Care. Within 6 years, Dr. Mikhail stepped up to the most senior position of Bayer Healthcare in the Middle East as well as Bayer Schering Pharma in Central America before retiring with a desire to return to the Middle East and settle with family.
Dr. Mikhail has emerged with a strong international mindset from his 30-year living and working experience 6 countries across 4 continents, and recognizes the value of strong leadership that is people oriented and welcoming of differences.
At SabryCorp, Dr. Mikhail desires to give back to the community using his long standing academic and business background, and has recognized SabryCorp as a channel to attract opportunities and transfer knowledge and experience to others. Concurrent with his responsibilities at SabryCorp, Dr. Mikhail is also owner and founder of MASH innovations LLC.

 Claire Henault, Executive Manager, Munich Office (Germany/France)
Ms Hénault is Executive Manager of SabryCorp's Munich Branch. Claire brings to SabryCorp expertise in specification and implementation of international reporting solutions, as well as expertise in data analysis and data quality management. In addition to her work at SabryCorp, she is a Senior consultant for Global HR analysis at Allianz SE in Germany where she specializes in policy and claims insurance for global clients, and has launched several initiatives regarding Human resources Metrics and Benchmarking and has overseen the development of a Corporate Statistical Database and a standardized international reporting platform. Ms. Henault has extensive international experience, particularly concerning Asian Markets and business practices, and has offered consultation and assistance across several countries. She has served as an intern in several Japanese companies, including: the strategic planning dept. of Hakuhodo and the insurance broker dept. of Marubeni. In addition to her Diploma in Statistics and Information Technology from Université René Descartes in Paris, Ms. Henault has taken studies at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees (Certificate in Japanese and economics), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Certificate in Spanish) and Ludwig-Maximilians Universität (Certificate in German and statistics).
